Suzuki Might Launch Gixxer 250 On May 20

Suzuki has sent in an invite for the launch of a new two-wheeler on May 20. The invite contains a teaser image of a part of the upcoming two-wheeler. Could be the all-new Gixxer 250, or possibly even the new Access 125. The Gixxer 150 hasn’t been updated since launch and a new one might be on the cards as well.   We love it when manufacturers send invites for their new two-wheelers in the form of teasers. But it can also frustrate us to no extent. This particular one had us scratching our heads quite a bit. What puzzled us this time around wasn’t just the question of whether it was a bike or a scooter, but the exact component that was teased. The image shows a body panel with what appears to be a headlamp or tail lamp assembly. There’s a line running across the top left which suggests that it could be a front headlamp panel. However, that could also be Suzuki being naughty by photoshopping it intentionally. While Suzuki, as expected, is tight-lipped about the upcoming two-whe

Senzar Introduces Blind Spot Detection Tech For Bikes In A Portable Package

The system is likely to be compatible with any motorcycle. The main radar sensors are placed on the rear end of the motorcycle. It also features a haptic vibration unit, which goes under the seat. A few days back, we had reported that Honda was working on a radar-equipped helmet . Other bikemakers such as Kawasaki , Suzuki and Ducati are also coming up with their own radar-based safety systems. But, most of these are still in early prototype stages, and there's some time before they debut on a production bike. However, if you don't want to wait, Senzar has you covered with its portable radar-based blind spot detection system for motorcycles. Cub ElecParts Inc, a Taiwan-based company, has come up with this portable radar-based blind spot detection system called the Senzar Blind Spot Detection System or BDS in short. It is easy to install as well. All the rider has to do is stick the main radar sensors at the rear or on the number plate. Run the wires through the seat a

Naked Ducati Panigale V4 R Spied

The test mule was spotted at the Chuckwalla Valley Raceway in California.  Seems to be in the early prototype stage.  Carlin Dunne will be racing it at the upcoming 2019 Pikes Peak hill climb event. Let's be honest. The Ducati Panigale V4 set a new benchmark in the litre-class category. With its absolute bonkers amount of power and aggressive ergonomics, it is the closest thing we have to the Ducati Desmosedici GP bike. And that's where the problem lies for the majority of us. It is just too lethal to use on the streets. Hence, we'd say our demand for a more "street-friendly" naked, stripped down version of the V4 is more than justified, right? Also Read - Ducati Panigale V4 S: First Ride Review   Well, Ducati thinks so. Carlin Dunne, Ducati's rider for the upcoming Pikes Peak hill climb, was spotted testing a stripped down Panigale V4 R at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway in California. Now, we say stripped down and not naked, because the bike in question

Hero MotoCorp To Launch XPulse 200 XPulse 200T Tomorrow

The Hero XPulse 200 was first showcased at the 2017 EICMA Show.  Two variants on offer- road-focused XPulse 200T and off-road oriented XPulse 200.  The mysterious fully-faired bike is a faired variant of the Hero Xtreme 200R. Hero MotoCorp will be launching not one, but three new motorcycles tomorrow. The first two are the company’s entry level adventure tourers - the road-focused XPulse 200T and off-road oriented XPulse 200. Of the two, the XPulse 200 will get long-travel suspension, higher ground clearance and larger spoked wheels (21-inch up front and 18-inch at the rear) wrapped in knobby Ceat Gripp tyres. Additionally, it will also come with a front beak, sump guard, knuckle guards and a high-mounted exhaust for better water-wading capability. The XPulse 200T, on the other hand, is likely to feature the same suspension setup as the Hero Xtreme 200R along with more urban-focused 17-inch alloy wheels (100/80 - front, 130/70 - rear). Both motorcycles will feature the same

Exclusive First CFMoto 650GT Lands In India

The motorcycle is powered by a 649.3cc parallel-twin engine. We expect it to be priced at around Rs 5.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Will be brought via the CKD route to our market. CFMoto is currently preparing to launch three all-new motorcycles next month - the 300NK , 650NK and 650MT . But these are not the only motorcycles that the Chinese bikemaker will bring to India. The company will also launch the 250NK and the 650GT in the country by Diwali this year. In fact, at the official launch, it will also showcase the 650GT. And now, we have got exclusive images of the first 650GT spotted in India. It is highly likely that the motorcycle in question is here for testing purposes. There are quite a few significant design-based changes between the 650GT and the 650MT. For instance, the 650GT gets split seats, redesigned LED headlamps, new fairing and slightly different ergos. First showcased at the 2018 EICMA Motor Show, the motorcycle will be powered by the same engine seen on the 65

KTM RC 125 India Launch Details Revealed

KTM is set to launch the RC 125 in June 2019. It features the same engine as the 125 Duke. Unlike the version sold abroad, the India-bound bike gets an underbelly exhaust. Will be the most affordable KTM RC motorcycle on sale in India. We were the first ones to spot the KTM RC 125 test mule on our roads . The bike was spied again quite recently and our sources have now revealed that the motorcycle is set to make its India debut in June. However, bookings are yet to commence. The primary reason why KTM is bringing the bike to India could be because of the KTM 125 Duke’s success in the domestic market. Despite being priced at over a lakh rupee , which is pretty high for a 125 when you consider the price-conscious nature of the Indian two-wheeler market, the naked motorcycle tallied more sales than all the other KTMs combined! As far as prices are concerned, expect the RC 125 to command around Rs 1.4 lakh (ex-showroom). The RC 125 is essentially the faired iteration of the 125 Du

Hero XPulse 200 Unofficial Bookings Open

The booking amount has been fixed at Rs 5,000. Deliveries to begin by the first or second week of May. We expect the Xpulse 200 and 200T to be priced between Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.1 lakh (ex-showroom). Hero’s upcoming adventure tourers, the XPulse 200 and XPluse 200T , are definitely two of the most hotly-anticipated motorcycles of 2019. Set to be launched on May 1 , the XPulse 200 is the off-road oriented variant of the two. The on-road spec XPulse 200T will go on sale alongside the more hardcore variant. If you are planning to add either one of these motorcycles to your garage, then we have good news for you. Some dealerships have already started accepting bookings for a sum of Rs 5,000 and deliveries are expected to commence the first or second week of May. As we had reported earlier, both motorcycles will be powered by the same 200cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor as seen on the Xtreme 200R. This engine produces 18.7PS of power and 17.1Nm of torque and is paired to a 5-spe

KTM 390 Adventure Spotted With Official Accessories

Seen with soft panniers and a small top box. There’s an aluminium bash plate and a radiator guard as well. Bike was spotted running on Metzeler Tourance tyres. KTM will likely unveil the bike at this year’s EICMA show in Milan, Italy. It will be launched in India by the end of this year or early next year. We were the first to give you a sneak peek of the upcoming KTM 390 Adventure with accessories in India . This time though, the bike has been spotted in Europe with the same add-ons but sans camouflage. The new spy shots reveal a new radiator guard, aluminium bash plate, soft panniers with top box - all carrying KTM’s branding. This clearly indicates that these accessories have been designed specifically for the 390 Adventure . The panniers feature a zipper system and are removable as well. Also, due to the exhaust’s location, the right side pannier will have slightly less cargo capacity compared to the one on the left. We would’ve liked it if KTM offered lockable hard cases t

Honda Plans To Install Radars On Helmets

The camera will be installed at the rear of the helmet. Sensors will monitor the rider's movement to prevent collisions. We don’t expect this technology to come to production anytime soon, though. Safety systems on motorcycles are increasing day by day. Ducati has its D-air airbag integration system and will roll out bikes with radars by 2020. Other prominent bikemakers such as Kawasaki and Suzuki are thinking about fitting their motorcycles with radars. The latest to join this bandwagon is Honda , who has a very different take on this technology. Rather than fitting sensors and cameras on the motorcycle, Honda is planning to attach the system on the rear side of the helmet. The system will be connected via the internet to the motorcycle and will display warnings on the dash to avoid an accident. This technology is still at a very nascent stage and the Japanese company will face a tough challenge to make it viable for mass-market use. The biggest issue here is weight. A

2020 KTM 390 Duke Spotted Testing

Watch Video Review   The test mule was spotted in Germany.  KTM appears to have made some changes to the frame, geometry and the swingarm.  The engine also appears to sport some changes, to comply with the upcoming emission norms.  We might see it in flesh at this year’s EICMA, alongside the 390 Adventure and the new RC 390. Yes, you read it right. As per the spy shots, there's an all-new KTM 390 Duke right on the horizon. The third generation of the Duke family was recently spotted testing in Germany, with a host of new changes. Although before we get started, it's important to note that the test mule appears to be in the early prototype stage. Hence, don’t be surprised if the end product looks slightly different. Speaking of which, it looks pretty much the same with the inverted pitchfork LED headlights and naked streetfighter looks. The test mule, however, was spotted sans the bikini fairing but we won’t read much into that. Starting with the biggest upda

A More Potent Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR Incoming

The current ZX-10RR gets only minor updates from the previous model. Its dominance in WSBK has been put into check by Ducati. Kawasaki should be bringing the new bike for MY20.   Kawasaki has literally been ruling the roost in the World Superbike Championship for the past four years in a row with Jonathan Rea at the helm. However for 2019, Ducati and Alvaro Bautista have not allowed anybody a sniff of victory in the eleven races held so far. Ducati, which is the most successful manufacturer in WSBK, has decimated its opposition with the Panigale V4 R and like many others, Kawasaki’s ZX-10RR does not have an answer to it. Hopefully, Kawasaki thinks it has the right answer waiting for 2020. Yes, Kawasaki is indeed working on the next proper generation of the Ninja ZX-10RR (which means there will be a new ZX-10R too) for the 2020 season. Kawasaki Racing Team’s Senior Engineer Ichiro Yoda has confirmed that the Japanese manufacturer needs to deliver a new bike capable enough to
