CFMoto 250NK Spied In India

The CFMoto 250 NK gets features like a TFT screen, hydraulic clutch, two riding modes and dual-channel ABS.  It is powered by a 249.2cc single-cylinder engine. If it comes to India, it will be brought in via the CKD route. Quarter-litre motorcycles seem to be all the rage these days, with Austrian, Japanese, Koreans as well as Italian manufacturers vying for your attention. Although the KTM 250 Duke rules the roost, there are plenty of other options, including the Yamaha Fazer 25 and FZ25, the ageing Honda CB250R, the Hyosung GT250R as well the recently-launched FB Mondial Hipster. Now, it seems like there’ll be a new contender soon in the form of the 250NK from CFMoto. If you haven’t heard of CFMoto yet, head here for a brief history lesson. The 250NK has been spotted testing in the country and it seems like the Chinese manufacturer is now gearing up to launch the naked street bike here soon. So, let’s take a closer look at it, shall we? The 250NK seems a lot like the 250 Du

Who Is CFMoto Exactly

You might be groaning after reading the intro. But what if we told you that CFMoto has ties with a certain Austrian manufacturer that we love in India? Yes, CFMoto is one of the production partners of KTM. The Chinese company will solely be making the 799cc parallel-twin LC8 motor that will power the 790 Duke from 2020. We will be hearing something exciting on the KTM soon, but let’s stick with CFMoto for now. The Chinese outfit was established in 1989 and has developed close to 100 vehicles, and 51 different engines over the years. It aids nearly 1900 companies globally, of which, its joint venture with KTM is perhaps of the highest significance. It has been making ATVs as well as motorcycles of varied cubic capacities. In fact, it just bought the rights to build its own motorcycle which will house KTM’s 999cc 75-degree V-twin motor - the same engine powers KTM’s 990 series of motorcycles. Interestingly, this engine too will solely be produced at CFMoto’s Hangzhou factory from 2020

KTM 250 Duke ABS Launched Entire Range ABS-equipped Now

Comes at a premium of Rs 14,000. Doesn’t get ‘Supermoto’ mode like 390 Duke. No other mechanical changes reported. The final piece of the jigsaw puzzle has been completed as KTM has launched the 250 Duke ABS at Rs 1.94 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The addition of dual-channel ABS comes at a premium of Rs 14,000 over the non-ABS version. It gets switchable ABS like the previous generation of the 390 Duke. That means, one can either have it fully on or switch it off completely, there’s no ‘Supermoto’ mode like the new 390. The 250 was meant to be an ideal mid-gap between the 200 and 390 Dukes . Styling similarities can be drawn with the 390. It is powered by a 248.8cc liquid-cooled engine which makes 30PS and 24Nm. This motor has been derived from the 390 and comes mated to a 6-speed transmission here. With the addition of the tech, the 250 Duke is almost at par with the Honda CBR250R ABS now, in terms of pricing. But, it is still pricier than Yamaha’s FZ25 which retails for Rs

KTM 790 Duke Vs Triumph Street Triple RS Vs Yamaha MT-09 Vs Kawasaki Z900 Spec Comparo

There was a point in time where the mid-displacement supersport segment garnered the most attention from enthusiasts. It played a pivotal role by bridging the gap between beginner bikes and litre-class rockets. That was then. Fast forward to the present day and preferences have changed. Today, motorcycle enthusiasts would rather have a mid-displacement naked that offers similar handling dynamics as their faired siblings. That’s not to say that power has taken a backseat. These super-nakeds have plenty of punch to leave you grinning for days, while new-age electronic rider aids make sure you stay within your limits. In India, we have been serenaded by the Triumph Street Triple RS , wooed by the Kawasaki Z900 and had our senses knocked right out of the park by the Yamaha MT-09 . However, we hope that the soon-to-be-launched KTM 790 Duke will be able to do all of the above while being more affordable than the others. Here’s how the newest kid on the block stacks up against its est

CFMoto 650MT Spotted In India

It is powered by a 649.3cc engine Gets USD forks and a rear monoshock We expect it to be priced at Rs 5.8 lakh (ex-showroom) A few days back, the CFMoto 250NK was spotted in India. Apparently, the small capacity naked is not the only motorcycle on the cards for India from the Chinese bike maker. The company is also contemplating bringing in an adventure tourer, specifically the 650MT. The latter was spotted prowling on the streets Hyderabad. The company makes a range of off-road vehicles, so it’s fair to say that it does know it’s way around in that particular segment. First showcased at EICMA 2018, the CFMoto 650MT is a sharp-looking adventure tourer. The large windscreen, a prominent seating position and the long-travel suspension setup gives the 650MT a proper mid-capacity adventure persona. The adventurer tourer sits on a diamond steel tubular frame and tips the scale at 213kg. Powering this adventure tourer is a 649.3cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin motor that pro

Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 Vs Harley-Davidson Street 750 Real World Numbers

Royal Enfield and Harley-Davidson are perhaps two brands that are built on a rich legacy of easy-going, classically-styled motorcycles. Combined, they have over 200 years of experience of building motorcycles. Plus, these two brands have a strong riding community as well as a huge fan following around them. And the two motorcycles in this story have a bit something in common as well. Both are twin-cylinder motorcycles that are made in India and for the world. Both of them are something that Indians wanted from the brand, i.e. we wanted a bigger Royal Enfield and, back when it was launched, a smaller Harley-Davidson. Both have a sportier twin. Both motorcycles are aimed to get more bikers into their respective brand’s folklore. So how different are the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and the Harley-Davidson Street 750 when it comes to the real world numbers despite being separated by just 100cc? But before you go on, you should check out this spec comparison that we had done a while

Yamaha MT-15 Matte Blue Photos Spotted In India

Watch Video Review     Yamaha’s MT-15 spotted in an interesting matte blue shade. Compared to the Indonesian version, the India-spec bike gets black alloy wheels (different design) instead of neon green. To keep costs in check, Indian version misses out on upside down forks and cast aluminium swingarm. Dual-channel ABS is expected to be offered as standard.         If you’ve been waiting to get your hands on Yamaha’s MT-15, we’ve got some good news. The naked streetfighter was recently spotted in India, wearing a cool matte blue shade. Notably, this shade is available in the Indonesian market as well, albeit with bright neon green wheels. For India, the bike features black alloy wheels (with a simpler design) and green rim tape to add some zing. Yamaha also offers other colours such as a matte grey, and a metallic black - which we expect to be made available in India as well.     On the features front, the MT-15 will sport a transfomer -like face with a
