Harley-Davidson India has issued a silent recall for all Street 750 models manufactured from 2016 onwards. The Milwaukee-based manufacturer has cited faulty brake callipers as the reason behind the latest recall. Globally, nearly 44,000 units of the Street series (both 750 and 500) have been affected by this issue and the manufacturer is working on rectifying it as soon as possible. Also Read: Harley-Davidson Street 750 recalled in India In India, the Street 750 is the gateway into the Harley family. But the manufacturer has faced severe backlash in the past for issues related to the brakes. Back in 2016, owners complained of severe brake fade and the callipers wearing off too soon, which resulted in a couple of accidents. This time around the issue is not that severe, but neverthe

The 2019 version of the bike will now be available with a half fairing akin to the one seen on the Pulsar 220F . For this, it has received a new price tag of Rs 86,500 (ex-showroom Pune), making it around Rs 1,500 more expensive than the standard model. Ducati Hypermotard 950 Vs Aprilia Dorsoduro 900 Spec Comparo

There are dirt bikes, there are nakeds and then there are supermotos. The latter borrows design cues and vehicle setup from dirt bikes and combines them with an insanely powerful motor from a naked, resulting in the formation of the ultimate hooligan. The two motorcycles that we have here seem to have a lot in common. Both are Italian. Both have a 90-degree V-twin motor. And both look like proper supermotos. So which one should you get? Bologna’s Ducati Hypermotard 950 or Noale’s Aprilia Dorsoduro 900 ? Here’s how they stack up on paper. Design Park them next to each other and there is no doubt that both of them stay true to the supermoto styling theme. Still, both could not look more different from the other. The Dorsoduro 900 is the smaller sibling to the Dorsoduro 1200 . The tank panels get several cuts that narrow down towards the rider seat, while the tank extensions engulf the side of the radiator as well. The headlight unit is obviously small, but it feels smaller due to th

New Retro Kawasaki Merugo based on z400 like Z900RS and W800

Kawasaki registers Meguro name. Meguro was a Japanese bikemaker that was acquired by Kawasaki in 1960. Kawasaki could use the Meguro name for its next sub-500 retro motorcycle. The new retro motorcycle could be based on Kawasaki’s upcoming Z400. Kawasaki recently applied for trademark rights for the name ‘Meguro’ in several US, European and Asian markets. The filing further states the name would be used for ‘two-wheeled motor vehicles; motorcycles; scooters; mopeds; bicycles; structural parts for motorcycles’. So, what exactly is ‘Meguro,’ or more aptly, who is it? It was one of Japan’s most successful motorcycle brands that made 250-500cc single-cylinder motorcycles and even a 650cc parallel twin between the late thirties and early sixties. In 1960, Kawasaki acquired the bikemaker and together they made 125cc, 175cc and 250cc motorcycles. In fact, the Kawasaki W-series of motors like the one seen on the Kawasaki W800 were developed from the Meguro K-series of parallel twin en

Video Harleys Electric Bike Concepts at X Games Aspen 2019

The two models are scheduled to go on sale by 2022. The electric scooter looks very utilitarian. The electric mountain bike has a more rugged design language. Both get a removable lithium-ion battery and don’t require a licence to ride either. Harley-Davidson’s future plans certainly seem to be electric! It first started with the Livewire concept, which was then followed up with a production-spec version. Later we got two concept models aimed at urban riders. Now, the American manufacturer has given us a glimpse of these models in action at the X Games Aspen 2019 in the US. Here’s the video: Jump to 09:10 to see X Games host Jack Mitrani take the concept ‘scooter’ for a spin. This particular model is devoid of the motor and battery casing, and that’s actually a good thing! It gives us a sneak peek of the motor and the battery. As you can see, it grabs a lot of eyeballs due to its unconventional design. The footpegs, for one, are literally skateboards sawed in half! You also g

Ducati Hypermotard Generations 1100 EVO 1100 EVO SP 796 821 and 939

Watch Video Review   Ducati is known for making some nutter bikes but nothing seems nuttier than the Hypermotard , specifically the earlier generation ones. The supermoto style tall seat had your crotch on the fuel tank and riding the bike felt like riding a horse, a wild one. And it behaved like one as well. Whack the throttle open and the primitive traction control would fight to keep the front wheel down, resulting in a bucking sensation. A quick ride on one of those old Hypermotards would have you hyperventilating that is, if it didn't throw you off. This wild side makes the Hypermotard an enigma. The new ones are quick but tamer-ish thanks to the sophisticated rider aids. As we gear up to ride the new 2019 Hypermotard 950 in Gran Canary (stay tuned for the first ride report), we take a look back at how the Hypermotard has evolved over the years. Ducati Hypermotard 1100 (2006-2012): It all started with a mad scientist at Ducati’s secret lab in Bologna who envisioned

G 310 Twins Among BMWs Top 5 Bestsellers

Watch Video Review   The two bikes were intended to serve as gateway to the brand BMW, bringing in newer, more budget-conscious riders across the globe. In India, the G 310 R costs Rs 2.99 lakh while the G 310 GS is priced at Rs 3.49 lakh (both ex-showroom, Delhi). Even in the Indian market, the bikes exceeded sales expectations, retailing 1640 units in six months. The BMW G 310 R and the G 310 GS were conceived as the gateway motorcycles to the Bavarian brand. And it seems to be working quite well as BMW Motorrad India revealed (during the R 1250 GS launch in India) that the G 310 siblings clocked a sales of over 24,400 units globally. The German marque also stated that the two bikes are a part of the top five best-selling BMW bikes globally.
