2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 Launched In India Priced at Rs 173 Lakh ex-showroom Mumbai

Watch Video Review   Notable updates include a new USD fork, a double barrel exhaust, redesigned rear view mirrors and much more! It’s powered by the same 373.3cc, liquid-cooled engine which now gets DOHC setup and a revised compression ratio. Aside from this, the bike gets some cosmetic changes to keep it looking fresh. Bajaj has launched the hotly-anticipated 2019 Dominar 400 for a price of Rs 1.73 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). That’s a premium of just under Rs 11,000 over the outgoing model. While the company hasn’t rolled out an official launch statement, a couple of Bajaj dealerships across the country have confirmed the arrival and pricing of the bike. And considering the kind of work that’s gone into the updated Dominar 400, we’d say it makes an exceptional value for money proposition. Deliveries, on the other hand, will commence from the second week of April. But, before you run to your nearest Bajaj showroom with your cheque book, we’d suggest you have a look at our

In Focus Mugen E-Rex Electric Dirt Bike

Watch Video Review   Electric dirt bikes isn’t a new concept. Even mainstream bike manufacturers like KTM make them (check out the KTM Freeride E-XC here ). However, we think the Mugen E-Rex electric dirt bike looks too cool to be given a miss. It comes from the house of Honda ’s performance partner and interestingly, is the second electric two-wheeler made by the firm. Also read: Kawasaki KLX 140G Review For starters, we love the simplistic white bodywork, red seat and black underpinnings. It might be too conventional for an electric bike but allows us to properly marvel at the unconventional bodywork. In place of the fuel tank, you have extensions that resemble the bones of a dinosaur. Hence the name E-Rex. Looks apart, these also help in reducing aerodynamic drag. The prehistoric design approach can also be seen in the tail section, especially with those zig-zag edged number plates. Now to the mechanical bits. The bike is a collaboration between Honda and Mugen with the

Royal Enfield Himalayan FI A Sceptic Gets Converted

Full Disclaimer: I was never a huge Royal Enfield fan; however, over the 1,000-odd kilometres that I covered during the Coastal Trail aboard the Himalayan, I fell in love with it. Now, here’s some back story. I was earlier informed that the bike accompanying me for the 2019 Coastal Trail would be an Interceptor 650 . Naturally, I was as excited as a little girl who got her first pony, specially because I’d heard rave reviews for the bike. Ok, maybe that’s a bit much, but you get the drift. Unfortunately, a week later I was told I would be given a RE Himalayan Fi instead of an Interceptor 650. Bummer, right? Well, believe me when I say this, I was naive to think that the Himalayan wouldn’t be as fun as the Interceptor. And boy was I wrong! The next week I spent in the Himalayan’s saddle would change my perception not just about the motorcycle but the brand as a whole. The bike I’d been riding came pre-fitted with Royal Enfield’s GMA (Genuine Motorcycle Accessory) parts such as

Honda Unveils 2019 CBR150R In Thailand

For 2019, the CBR150R gets revised fairing and LED headlamps, taller windshield and more recessed fuel tank. The frame has been updated for more strength while front forks now get preload adjustment. In Thailand, it is priced on par with the Yamaha R15 V3.0. Honda has unveiled the 2019 edition of the CBR150 in Thailand. The new bike gets added features and updates to the bodywork, frame, motor. For starters, the updated frame is narrower for better aerodynamic efficiency. It does away with the twin ducts on top of the headlamp for a cleaner look. The twin LED headlamps also have been revised and are slimmer than before. Like the headlamps, the tail lamp and turn indicators are LED units. Other changes come in the form of a revised 12-litre fuel tank that gets deeper knee recesses and a taller windscreen to allow you to tuck in better. Its digital instrument console gets a comprehensive readout and displays engine temperature, gear position and fuel economy. While hazard lamps a

TVS Apache RTR 160 And RTR 160 4V Launched With ABS

Watch Video Review     The sub-200cc Apache range of bikes has been updated with single-channel ABS.  Interestingly, TVS calls its single-channel ABS unit ‘Super Moto ABS’. The Apache RTR 180 has switched from a dual-channel ABS setup to a single-channel unit.   TVS has updated its entire Apache RTR range of bikes below 200cc with the safety net of ABS. The upgrade comes in the light of new government safety regulations which kicks in three days from today. The bikes which have been updated with single-channel ABS, or ‘Super Moto’ ABS as TVS likes to call it, includes the Apache RTR 160 , Apache RTR 160 4V and the Apache RTR 180 . Don’t mistake the ‘Super Moto’ mode for switchable ABS, though. It's a simple single-channel unit that acts on the front brakes, giving the rider complete control of the rear brake. The Apache RTR 160 is available in two variants - rear drum and rear disc. The bike has also received new graphics to keep it looking fresh. Other additions inc

Hondas Off-Roader The CRF250R Gets An Electric Heart

The suspension setup remains the same as the CRF250. Honda hasn’t revealed the battery size, power output or range. As of now, the CR Electric is still a prototype and won’t be launched anytime soon. While other two-wheeler manufacturers are busy developing electric sport bikes and city bikes, Honda has gone on a different route and showcased an all-electric off-roader at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show. Meet the CR Electric prototype. Being a prototype, details such as weight, battery size, range, power output are thin. But after taking a closer look at the prototype, there are some details that we would like to point out. Production-ready Aprilia RS 660 To Be Showcased At EICMA 2019

RS 660’s engine is built on the litre-class RSV4 architecture. First Aprilia motorcycle to feature active aerodynamics. Will get top-spec components like Ohlins suspension, Brembo monoblocs and Pirelli rubber. At the recently concluded Aprilia All Stars event held at Mugello, Aprilia had a special section dedicated to all of its road-biased offerings. Here, attendees could get a small feel of all the motorcycles barring one that was put on a pedestal above others. Yes, the Italian bikemaker showcased the RS 660 once again . Now news emerging from a French publication has delighted those of us who want this mid-spec Aprilia RS supersport as it will be a model year 2020 motorcycle. It would not be fair to say that the RS 660 is just an engine-hack job version of the larger RSV4 1100 Factory (which we rode recently at Mugello, ride report coming soon on ZigWheels.com). Sure, it gets its motor from the front bank of cylinders from the RSV4’s 1078cc V4 motor. It may also look like
