Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 What We Like What We Dont

We recently rode both the iterations of the 650cc parallel twins and while it's just our first impression about the bike, there’s a lot to like about them. We’ve already spoken about the pros and cons of the Interceptor 650 which you can read about here . And while we analyze the Continental GT 650 further, you can have a look at the complete review here . Granted that the Continental GT shares majority of its mechanicals with the Interceptor, but it’s the Café racer styling and subtle changes in ride posture that really makes the GT come out on top. After a hands-on experience on the Continental GT 650, here’s what we liked about the bike and areas that we thought could have been better.     What We Like - Design - Even though the Conti 650 borrows design cues from the Continental GT 535, it looks more muscular. Why’s that? It's mainly due to the now shortened Cafe Racer tank which is also taller compared to the 535. The lofty and compressed (lengthwise) tank gives

Motorcycle News Of The Week Ducati Panigale 959 Corse RE 650 Twins Launched Bajaj Pulsar 220F Spied With ABS And More

While this week may not have been as explosive as the previous one, it was by no means boring. From Royal Enfield launching the 650 twins internationally to Ducati (disappointingly) launching a tamed version of the Panigale 959 Corse in India, here’s everything that unfolded:    Ducati 959 Panigale Corse Launched In India Sans Top-shelf Components Ducati launched the special edition, Ducati 959 Panigale Corse , in the country this week. Priced at Rs 15.20 lakh, it is Rs 67,000 more expensive than the standard model. However, unlike the international-spec version, this special edition model misses out on top-shelf components such as Ohlins suspension, Akrapovic exhaust, Pirelli tyres and more. Instead, you only get the special Corse livery, taken from the firm's MotoGP bike, the Desmosedici GP 18. Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 Best Colours To Choose From

Watch Video Review   The much anticipated 650cc twins from Royal Enfield have finally been launched internationally, and are expected to enter the Indian market in the next couple of months. From the first impressions, the bikes seem to have delivered in spades and we cannot wait to get out hands on them for a through road test review. And we’re sure many of you have already saved up enough cash to get one for yourself once launched in India. That said, the various colour options available for the Interceptor 650 might put you in a quandary. So, just to make things simpler, we’ve listed down all the colour options available for the Interceptor, and our pick of the lot. The bike is available in Mark Three (Black), Glitter & Dust (Chrome), Orange Crush, Ravishing Red, Silver Spectre and Baker Express (White and Red). Let’s start off with Ravishing Red since it’s one of the first colours that was showcased at EICMA 2017 alongside Orange Crush. The use of contrast colours

Best Colour Options TVS Jupiter NTorq RTR 160 4V More

Watch Video Review   Once known for their diminutive yet sturdy mopeds, TVS is now renowned for producing some of the best performance-oriented motorcycles in the country, case in point the Apache RR 310. Developed with inputs from TVS Racing, the 125cc NTorq has helped the company carve a name for itself in the scooter segment too. So if you’re in the market looking to pick a TVS, here’s the list of colours we think make its two-wheelers, including the TVS Apache RR 310 , Apache RTR 160 4V , NTorq  and  Jupiter  stand apart from the rest. Apache RR 310: The Apache RR 310 is by far the best-looking product to have ever come out TVS’ stables. Developed in conjunction with BMW Motorrad, the motorcycle marks TVS’ debut in the mid-capacity segment. The bike’s proportions are near perfect that it’s easy to mistake it for a 600cc supersport! TVS has priced the bike at Rs 2,23,070, ex-showroom Delhi. Our Choice: The Apache RR 310 is offered in two colours - Racing Red and Racing B

Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 What We Like What We Dont

Watch Video Review     Ever since the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 were showcased at EICMA in Milan last year, they’ve been the talk of the town. Needless to say, the Chennai-based two-wheeler manufacturer has a lot riding on these 650cc twins. So then, did they live upto expectations? Well, our short stint with the two bikes in California (USA) turned out to be very positive, and that's always a good thing. However, nothing is perfect and neither are these machines. Since we rode the Interceptor 650 first, let's take a look at the pros and cons for the bike, starting off with the positives. Design - Royal Enfield hasn’t strayed too far from the classic retro styling for the Interceptor. However, it does get some neat modern elements that make it stand out. Also, the bike’s minimalistic approach gives it a mature and clean look from top to bottom.   Build quality - Royal Enfields aren’t particularly known for their build quality. However, our

Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 Best Colours To Choose From

The wait is over… well almost. Royal Enfield has launched the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650 in the United States. Obviously, the India launch will follow suit soon. The bikes are expected to arrive in India around November. With its massive following, it's no surprise that Royal Enfield buyers will be queuing up at showrooms in droves for the two motorcycles.   The Interceptor 650 sports a California cruiser design while the Continental GT 650 will be the company's second foray into cafe racer territory after the Conti GT 535. If you happen to be interested in the latter and can't seem to decide what colour option to go with, here's our take on what colour the Continental GT 650 will look good in. The Conti GT 650 will be offered in five colour options, which for some reason are named after 70’s comic book villains: Black Magic (metallic black), Ventura Blue (metallic blue), Mister Clean (chrome), Dr Mayhem (black and grey) and Ice Queen (metallic

Hero MotoCorp has announced that it will be increasing the prices of its two-wheelers from next month. A price hike of upto Rs 900, depending on the two-wheeler model and the state it is sold in, will come into effect from 3 October 2018. Hero MotoCorp has cited the rising costs of raw materials and the falling rupee as the reason for the price hike. This is the second time this year that Hero MotoCorp has been forced to increase the prices of its two-wheelers. In April 2018, it had increased the prices by upto Rs 625 to offset the rising raw material costs. This move will affect Hero’s entire model lineup consisting of 21 two-wheelers. These include scooters and bikes starting from the 97cc Hero Dawn HF which retails for Rs 37,625 to the 223cc Karizma ZMR , priced at Rs 1,10,500 (all prices ex-showroom Delhi). Despite the price hike, Hero Motocorp has managed to top the sales charts on three occasions this year. It sold the highest numbers of two-wheelers in India in the months
