Royal Enfield Continental GT 650: Best Colours To Choose From

The wait is over… well almost. Royal Enfield has launched the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650 in the United States. Obviously, the India launch will follow suit soon. The bikes are expected to arrive in India around November. With its massive following, it's no surprise that Royal Enfield buyers will be queuing up at showrooms in droves for the two motorcycles.

The Interceptor 650 sports a California cruiser design while the Continental GT 650 will be the company's second foray into cafe racer territory after the Conti GT 535. If you happen to be interested in the latter and can't seem to decide what colour option to go with, here's our take on what colour the Continental GT 650 will look good in.

The Conti GT 650 will be offered in five colour options, which for some reason are named after 70’s comic book villains: Black Magic (metallic black), Ventura Blue (metallic blue), Mister Clean (chrome), Dr Mayhem (black and grey) and Ice Queen (metallic white).

Out of the five, the chrome-finished one is undoubtedly the one you should go for if grabbing all the eyeballs on the road on weekend rides is your primary goal. It accentuates the bike’s design even more, bringing out its unique look to the fore. Sure, it might be too outrageous for some but then again, cafe racers are meant to be noticed. Royal Enfield tells us that they are employing a special coating technique for the chrome finish. Considering the costs involved, we expect this variant to be priced higher than the rest here, but it will be worth it.

If we had to choose a runner-up, it’d be the be the Black and Grey (Dr Mayhem) dual-tone paint scheme, which looks beautifully distinct while not being too in-your-face. Out third choice would be the metallic white "Ice Queen" paint scheme. This colour not only helps the motorcycle win some nostalgia points but is also quite eye-catching.

Honda HNess Cruiser India Launch Tomorrow

Honda is all set to launch its first small-capacity retro motorcycle tomorrow. The recent trademark images suggest that the upcoming motorcycle might be called H’Ness, and cost around Rs 1.95 lakh (ex-showroom). There were rumours about the upcoming bike being the Honda Rebel 300. However, going by the recently-released teaser of the exhaust note , it is likely to pack an old-school air-cooled long-stroke fuel-injected motor displacing somewhere around 350-400cc. That’s a complete departure from the single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine in the Rebel. Expect plenty of low-end torque accompanied by the traditional Honda-levels of refinement in the upcoming bike.  For representation The Honda H'Ness is expected to come with the same roadster-like design language as the Honda CB1100 EX. It is likely to feature a traditional front fork, twin rear shock absorbers and disc brake on both ends with ABS as standard. For an added retro appeal, expect it to use spoke wheels with tubed
