 The two-wheeler sector has been quite active this month thanks to the launch of new and updated products like cruisers, superbikes, scooters and neo-retro motorcycles. Honda, for instance, has entered the retro segment with the hotly anticipated H'Ness CB350 while BMW has stepped up the game in the litre-class segment by launching the notorious M 1000 RR overseas. There’s a lot of catching up to do, so here’s a summary of all of the new launches that took place in India and overseas in September 2020.

 

Honda CB350 H'Ness To Take The Fight To The Royal Enfield Classic 350

A bold statement, isn’t it! But it’s true. Honda’s foray into the 350cc retro segment can only be viewed as a blatant challenge to Royal Enfield and the Classic 350. BS6 Kawasaki Z900 Launched

After what felt like a lifetime, Kawasaki has finally launched the BS6-compliant Z900. It packs a greener motor and a full-colour TFT display as part of the BS6 update. Price available here.

Honda HNess Cruiser India Launch Tomorrow

Honda is all set to launch its first small-capacity retro motorcycle tomorrow. The recent trademark images suggest that the upcoming motorcycle might be called H’Ness, and cost around Rs 1.95 lakh (ex-showroom). There were rumours about the upcoming bike being the Honda Rebel 300. However, going by the recently-released teaser of the exhaust note , it is likely to pack an old-school air-cooled long-stroke fuel-injected motor displacing somewhere around 350-400cc. That’s a complete departure from the single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine in the Rebel. Expect plenty of low-end torque accompanied by the traditional Honda-levels of refinement in the upcoming bike.  For representation The Honda H'Ness is expected to come with the same roadster-like design language as the Honda CB1100 EX. It is likely to feature a traditional front fork, twin rear shock absorbers and disc brake on both ends with ABS as standard. For an added retro appeal, expect it to use spoke wheels with tubed
